Dividends

Conforming to the proposal of the Board of Management and the Supervisory Board, the Annual Stockholders’ Meeting of LANXESS AG on May 29, 2008 passed the resolution to pay a dividend for fiscal 2007 of EUR 1,00 per share. With this dividend the Board of Management and Supervisory Board intend a visible way for stockholders to participate in the company’s success in fiscal 2007. The dividend of €1.00 per share represents a substantial increase compared to the first-ever dividend of €0.25 declared for fiscal 2006. Relative to the price at which LANXESS shares ended 2007 (€33.60 on December 28), this equates to a dividend yield of 2.98 percent.
